The Meaning of the Cross

What do we learn today?
  • To understand the meaning of the cross, we need to realize that forgiveness is costly. There is no such thing as “simply forgive”. Forgiveness is a form of suffering. Indeed, forgiveness is most needed by a person who deserves it the least. The cross then is a symbol of divine forgiveness. It is a reminder that we may also learn to forgive as God has forgiven us.
  • To understand the meaning of the cross, we need to realize that not only God is love, he is also a just and righteous God. God is a god who loves justice and righteousness. These are the characteristics of God that cannot be compromised. The cross then is a show of both God’s love and righteousness. It is the ultimate show of the uncompromising love. God shows his love without compromising his justice. It is a reminder for us that we may also show our love to one another without compromising our value.

What can you bring to the cross this year

Stay focus and give the best for your God!
Today's reading : John 12 : 1-6
"...Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair...."
Sometimes, we were all busy with all the preparation and celebration, that we forgot what's the purpose and the center of the celebration.
