Today, I forgot to bring Hendra's camera, so I used my small camera yg uda agak2 rusak dan suka goyang2 sendiri =( so... some pictures are blurry, and we didnt take that many pictures this week. Maap. Nonetheless, we had a great service today. The Gym looks brighter and cleaner, thanks to those who worked hard in Kerja Bakti yesterday, the walls are all repainted!

Sermon today was given by Rev. Benny Tan. Worship Leader: Mei Mei Tan. And Michael lead the music team with the piano. What a testimony and blessing this family is! ^_^ We have a new singer: Lloyd , returning singer : Ayrin, and faithful singer : Sandy

After lunch, ada latihan angklung. We practiced lumayan lama loh (liat di foto2 tu, sampe jam 3 lebih!! uwih) Sampe pegel2. hehehe. We'll perform next week in All Church Service, 10:30am. Dateng yaaa!

Here we are, right in the middle of 2007. Indonaz is starting our second half of the year with Holy Communion ^_^ Worship time today very simple and nice. Martha picked this old song, Tinggikan DiriMu by GMB, the song started beautifully with a solo by William L. Sounded very good! Many were blessed by this :) thx WL!

And we have a new musician : Ario. Great job today with the Bass!

Pst. Hengkie talked about Isaiah 54:2-3 today. This scripture memang punya several meanings ya. I was blessed by the song of this verse few weeks ago "Lapangkanlah tempat kemahmu... bentangkan tenda.... jangan menghemat... " and am blessed again by the sermon. Thx Pst. H!

Hari Bapak 2007

Happy Father's Day!

Hari ini gak seramai hari ibu last month, cuma ada beberapa bapak2 yang bisa dateng jadi gereja agak sepi. But not really affecting spirit kebaktian and acara2 hari ini :) Today, like what Pst. Hengkie said, we give praise and worship to our Father in Heaven, and celebrate our gratefulness for our fathers on earth. Lagu hari ini jadi banyak bertema : Bapa. (kemaren latihan musik jadi sadar, ternyata lagu bertema Bapa itu buanyak sekali!!)

After sermon, we presented a simple slideshow buat bapak2, isinya kalimat2 dari anak2 (some sunday school, some older) for their fathers. It was really cute. Nia said "Daddy, I love it when we spend time together"... awwwww. (there were lots of awwww). For the complete presentation, klik the picture below.

Then Pst. Hengkie called all the bapak2 maju ke depan, trus instead of flowers kaya di Mother's Day, bapak2 dapet T-Shirts. Tulisannya macem2, ada DAD, Grandpa, Coolest Dad, etc etc. They loved it and langsung dipake saat itu juga!!

The food?? hohoho .... the best!! Kaum ibu2 selalu punya ide unik buat appreciate para bapak, kali ini temanya LESEHAN. Jadi mereka siapin tikar gedeeee buat bapak2 duduk berleseh.
Here's the menu : Ikan goreng (Satu bapak satu ekor!), nasi kuning+abon, ayam goreng kalasan, perkedel, urap2, sambel goreng tahu+tempe, mi goreng campur, and kerupuk udang. Terus buat dessert, ada buah2an segar dipotong2 & ditaro di keranjang semangka. (Liat foto deh, susah jelasinnya)

Kata Pst. H, bday kali ini dikasih kado anjing kecil, hari ini dibawa tuh, keciiiilll. so cute.

Congratulation for Monica Tanuwidjaja, master graduate from Stanford University. Sayang kita gak bisa rame2 dateng soalnya commencement waktu kebaktian. Tapi foto2nya tetep ditunggu yaaah!! Congrats again!!

Its June Already!!

Seperti yg dikatakan worship leader kita today, gk kerasa tau2 udah bulan Juni, udah mau pertengahan tahun 2007. June is a busy month! Panitia retreat, panitia hari bapak, dan panitia hut are going to be meeting a LOT this couple of weeks! Many important events coming up. God has blessed us so much in the past five months, but I believe the best of 2007 is still yet to come ^_^

Our service began today with a major technical difficulty, projector buat power point gak mau nyala!! wadoh wadoh. Pada panik semua deh. Kabel2 & alat2 dikutak katik, dicoba2, test2, colok2, tepok2, masih gk nyala juga. Worship team lumayan concern soal fast praise-songs, gk mungkin lagu Awesome in This Place bisa dinyanyiin tanpa text. Udah baru, cepet, di awal2, bhs inggris lageh! Tapi setelah semua creative ideas dikeluarin (like lagu2 cepet dipelanin, or pake OHP, or fotocopy all music sheets buat jemaat, or Martha lead with Winsen bacain text, etc. etc) akhirnya kita pake portable video projector, tarik kabel panjaaaaang, and ppt bisa dinyalain. Horeeee. God is Awesome in this place! ^^

Then the worship service went smoothly. Ada persembahan lagu dari Bapak dan Ibu Halimwidjaya. As always, very inspiring =) Pdt. Hengkie challenged the youth, "anak muda bisa gak nyanyi tanpa musik?" hehehe... maybe we should try that sometimes =D

Memorial Day Weekend

Long Weekend everyone!!!!! We all can see dari bangku-bangku kebaktian yang rada kosong hari ini. But it's okay, it doesn't affect our spirit to worship. Hari ini kebaktian kita dipimpin langsung dari awal sampe akhir oleh Pendeta Hengkie yang merangkap sebagai worship leader and pembawa firman ----with an exception baca warta (thanks Mon, udah bacain warta). Team music as usual led by our Captain: Catherine (hari ini dia maen 2 keyboard), and accompanied by our drummer: Hendra. Backupsinger kita minggu ini - DVC team : Nico and Steffi.



We also celebrate Tante Hannah's, Ronald's (even he's in Vegas), and Audry's birthday. God bless all of you. Biar banyak anggota kita yang vacation, hari ini kita ada surprise dari anggota jemaat kita yang sudah lama banget tidak muncul: Om Franklin, Tante Ratna and the Twins (wah udah gede banget). Indonaz juga ada anggota baru: Shelly (welcome!!!)



Sekarang kita move ke meja dapur, hari ini kita semua di served oleh Komisi Pemuda (yay!!!). Noodles, Broccoli & beef, and Pork Chop---nyam, nyam. Tapi ternyata banyak jemaat yang ke dapur nyariin sambel---memang orang Indo gak bisa makan tanpa sambel. All right everyone, you can enjoy the pictures from today's service and we will see you all next week. It's gonna be the first week of the new month.....

Happy Mother's Day!!
What a special and lovely service we had today. First, we had a super special singers team : SORO (Satrio, Oscar, and ROnnie) they did a splendid job singing along with Pst. Hengkie. Boleh sering2 niehh! =D

From sunday school, Tabitha and Xiao2 read their letters to their mothers. "I love you, Mom. Selamat Hari Ibu." ^_^ so cute. And youth vocal group gk mo kalah cute, they sang a song thats 600yrs old *kt om* -- Ma Ma Hao in Mandarin!!

There were many many testimonies about mothers today. I think this is the most testimony we have for mother's day, perhaps more than thanksgiving! hahaha. Here's what they say about their mothers,
Tante Agnes - her mother was her best friend,
Tante Deborah - her mother was a strong woman, she was her best teacher,
Tante Eva - her mother raised 6 children by herself, taught them all to be independent,
Om Benny & Om Ronnie - their mothers were very persistant in taking them to church & reading the bible
Oscar - his mother is his best supporter
Arrio - his mother is a very positive woman, very encouraging -
plus he sang a self-written song =)
Om Satrio - his mother raised 12 children!! and he got his cooking talent from her =D

The phrase that came up often was: Mamaku Luar Biasa *my mother is awesome. We wont be where we are, or who we are if not because of our mothers. We thank God for everything our mother has done for us =)

and today, the mothers in indonaz got special treatment. There were two round tables decorated and prepared for mothers & wives only. They got to eat Satrio's special prime-rib, mashed potato & vegetables. It looks like 5-star restaurant entree!! Trus ada udang goreng, cumi goreng, garlic bread, fresh fruit & dessert. Behh ... .yg lain ngiler2 aja dipinggir2 meja. hahahah. Gak lah, there were plenty of food for us too (minus primerib). The fathers worked really hard since last week. They really appreciate their wives and mothers =)

Finally, the 1st carwash for our 2007 Retreat. The weather was good, a bit windy, but not too cold/too hot. There were some generous people, and there were some... 'okay'people with big trucks! Hueheheh... One person just donated money to Joyce at the intersection without having his car washed. hihihi. Compared to past carwash events, today not so many cars stopped by. Maybe because of the rain we had in the past few days. But we had our fun =D (Meskipun pada bengkak2 gara2 pollen) Hopefully more people will show up for the next car wash.

Joint Service

Today, we had a multi-cultural-congregation service. English, Spanish, Indonesian and Korean church have one service in sanctuary together at 10:30am. It's a little bit too early for indonesian (our regular service starts at 11:15am) but some of us came even earlier --> choir practice, lipet2 warta, sibuk2 dapur, etc2.

Service started with praise and worship from the English worship band, we sang Awesome is The Lord Most High and How Great is Our God lead by Pst. Eric Lapp. It felt good to sing together as a one big church. Jarang2 liat sanctuary penuh. hehehe.

After that, each congregation pastor gave 5-min sermon, followed by music presentation. Pst. Hengkie went first, followed by the choir. =D They sang "Kucinta Kau", accompanied by piano and power-point. No photograph was taken at this time (all photographers were unavailable -- MJ(choir), Monica(usher), Martha(powerpoint), Cath(piano). huwaaa) So .... until I find someone else took the picture, here's the powerpoint.-_-"

lunch time, lots and lots of food! There are two looong tables filled with food from various cultural background. Ada bulgoki, kimchee, fishcakes, lasagna, chicken in at least 5 different kinds, and much2 more. From Indo church, Martha cooked at least two big pots of semur and fried wonton. It was at the other end of the long table so banyak org2 indo langsung loncat kesana ajah. Hahaha. Masih panas2 ngepul2. nyammmm. Enakk.

Indah Pada Waktunya

Itulah tema kotbah kita minggu ini yang dibawakan oleh Ev. Benny Tan. This week, we all have been shocked by the Virginia Tech incident. Want to know more about it? Kalian bisa langsung baca di Indonaz reflection.

Minggu ini kebaktian kita langsung dipimpin sama Gembala kita, Om Hengkie. It's part of our new "culture" setiap kali ada Guest Speaker preach in our church. Terus kita juga mau welcome to our new Bass Player------MJ. Yay....you did an awesome job.

Happy Birthday buat Tante Irma and thanks juga buat Om Satrio and Tante Marie for the delicious food (ayam nya enak banget).

Last but not least.....a friendly reminder.....you're all invited to the Joined Service next week. Jangan lupa 10:30 am. You don't want to miss our choir performance.

What a great news we heard today about Om Ronny, his tumor has shrunk! Praise The Lord Almighty, for He is good and His mercy is everlasting! We will continue to pray for him, his recovery, and his family.

Four birthdays this week, Kevin - Daniel - Aling - and Andrew Pang. Happy birthdays!! (because Kevin, Aling & Andrew couldnt come today, we almost sang 4 times for Daniel, haha)
